[She gives him a look, and then runs off to do her job. She makes sure she's back within two minutes, because she's not letting him go out in that alone.]

[it's a good thing she gets back early, since he was ready to bolt out there before time was up, prepping his stuff when she reappears. he has an impromptu slingshot with some nasty-looking pieces of metal as ammo]

We need to find the source. Might be underground or in a building. We can split up, meet on the other side of the avenue, see if we can figure out what's going on.
