Skip the air strip for the sunset; Ride the arrow to the target [for [personal profile] vantagepoint]

It was all over and done. The world was saved, and everyone had gone their separate ways, riding off into the sunset for some well-deserved time off. The time off thing, in her case, came as an order from above. Fury had told her and Barton to take a vacation before they got back to work, and completely brushed off any of her protests about it. He'd stopped just short of packing a bag and shoving her out the door.

So, she arrived at Barton's apartment, bright and early, knowing he'd be awake, to ask if he had any ideas for what to do with their downtime, and knocked.

Predictably, his home (or what passes for a home when you travel more than you stay any one place) is in the top floor. Clint is looking out the window when he sees Natasha walk up to the door of the building. It will take her a few minutes to reach his floor. She's not trying to hide, so that must mean she's accepted the orders for leave.

He hasn't made up his mind on how to feel about them. On one hand, everyone is rebuilding SHEILD after all of that chaos, and he's being benched. On the other hand, he can understand why many of those agent might not want to look at him for a few days.

Barefooted. Clint crosses the open room to answer the door. He doesn't have to say a word to welcome her in. She's always welcome, she should know that.

Clint takes a second to reset his perimeter alarms and then he shrugs.

"What do people usually do, the beach, a little fun in the sun." He's not adverse to the idea, especially if it means seeing her in a bikini.

His attempts at levity have fallen a little flat lately. Not that it stops him from pretending he's up to his usual standard. "There are too many places I would rather not see. What about you?"

"We could try Cuba." Despite being on the watch list, he's betting they could arrange something relatively quiet. "Or Mexico."

Clint makes himself a drink, one with a lot of ice. He also makes something for her, but doesn't bother to ask what she wants.

"...or we could just stay in here for a week, sightseeing is a bit overrated."
